At CAMBI 2026, the first panel moderated by Alexandre Sion was on “Licensing Strategies under the General Law: LAC, LAU and LAE from the perspective of entrepreneurs”.
The debate brought together Carolina Lobato (Anglo American), Felipe Starling (Aclara Resources), Monique Soriano (BRK Ambiental), and Rafaela Sander (Prosul), who shared experiences and reflections on the changes brought about by the General Environmental Licensing Law, the challenges of implementation, the search for legal certainty, and strategies for risk management and project viability.
What was most striking was the huge audience turnout. In an event with six simultaneous panels, the area designated for debate was completely packed, with the vast majority of participants attending this particular panel, identified by the color blue in the program.
This interest demonstrates that the discussion about new environmental licensing instruments has ceased to be merely a legal issue and has taken center stage on the agenda of companies, consultancies, public agencies, and professionals working in sustainable development and infrastructure.
Sion thanks the panelists for the quality of their contributions and all participants for their presence and the rich debate.
