On September 28, 29, and 30, Alexandre Sion taught the 2nd edition of the course “Environmental Law and the New Framework for Licensing,” organized by Academia VIEX.
Over the course of the three days, the main aspects of the General Environmental Licensing Law (Law No. 15,190/2025) were addressed, including licensing authorities, licensing modalities and procedures, environmental conditions, practical impacts of the new legislation, constitutionality review, and the challenges of its implementation by the states.
The course brought together professionals from different sectors for a legal and practical analysis of the application of the new environmental licensing framework and its effects on ongoing processes and development projects.
