Has been published in the Official Gazette of the State of Minas Gerais today, january 21, 2019, Joint Resolution SEMAD/IEF no. 2.949/2019, handling procedures related to authorization for terrestrial and aquatic wildlife management in the influence area of projects and activities effectively or potentially causing impacts to wildlife, subjected or not to environmental licensing.
Among other disposals, text of the norm states that is due to the Forestry State Institute (IEF), through its Forestry and Biodiversity Regional Units (URFBio), the analysis of the requirements and the emission of authorization for terrestrial and aquatic wildlife management related to projects and activities effectively or potentially causing impacts to wildlife subjected to municipal simplified environmental licensing and those located in conservation units of integral protection and Private Natural Heritage Reserve of the state or in its coverage area.
Meanwhile, to the Secretary of State of Environment and Sustainable Development (SEMAD) is due, through its Environment Regional Units (Suprams) and Prioritary Project Unit, the analysis of the requirements and the emission of authorization for terrestrial and aquatic wildlife management related to the procedure of licensing of projects and activities effectively or potentially causing impacts to wildlife subjected to state environmental licensing, in three-phase mode – LAT – or in concomitant mode.
