On September 29, Sion Advogados took part in the 4th Sustainability Workshop, an initiative that brought together representatives from Hidrovias do Brasil, the Association of Private Port Terminal Operators (ATP), the Pará State Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainability (SEMAS), and the Federal University of Pará (UFPA).
Partner Mateus Stallivieri participated in the program with a lecture on the new General Environmental Licensing Law, addressing the main changes introduced by the legislation, the challenges related to its implementation by the states, and the impacts on the licensing of infrastructure projects.
The event also promoted discussions on multimodality and logistics in Pará, contributing to the exchange of experiences among the private sector, public authorities, and academia regarding the environmental and regulatory challenges related to infrastructure development in Brazil.
We thank Hidrovias do Brasil, SEMAS/PA, and the other participants for the opportunity to contribute to the discussion.
